Active Mobilization

Active Mobilization is going to revolutionize the way we communicate with youth. The trend really took off in 2006 as we saw the rise of mobile SNS. Young people around the world could seamlessly move all of their entertainment and communication experiences onto their wireless handsets in real time. We actually had a hand in the development and launch of MySpace’s mobile application. Also fueling this trend is the mass promotion and distribution of the second generation music handsets like the Sony Ericsson W810 Walkman, Apple’s soon-to-be-available iPhone, LG CU500, and the amazing Motorizr Z6. This year it will be hard not to upgrade your handset to a 3G device especially with the Samsung Blackjack.

All of these handsets are focused on promoting a “habit of use” to get users more comfortable with downloading content via their wireless handset or from their computer to their phone. Once consumers are hooked on downloading music content, carriers will really start to encourage them even more to download entertainment programming and communications applications to their wireless devices. Another big shift is happening as a result of the availability of Wi-Bro (Wireless Broadband) in Korea and WiMax here in the states. It is going to enable anyone, anytime, anywhere to wirelessly access high speed Internet connections.
