Top Chinese Website Set for IPO [WSJ]
Alibaba.com, the most visited import/export site on the web and China’s top B2B site, is expected to announce that country’s largest IPO ever for an internet company today. It could raise as much as $1.3 billion for its parent company (39%-owned by Yahoo), which is also behind China’s most popular online auction site, Taobao.com.

MySpace Launches Web Series Tonight [Reuters]
An original web series called “Roommates” about four recent college grads living in Los Angeles debuts tonight on MySpaceTV. Three-minute clips of the show will appear daily through the end of December and fans are expected to engage characters online and influence the plot.

Microsoft Ends Anti-Trust Fight in Europe [AP via NYT]
The company agreed to accept key parts of a 2004 anti-trust ruling, which include offering technical information to developers for a one-time fee, allowing its data to go open-source, and cutting worldwide licensing fees.

AT&T Hooks Up With Napster [Dow Jones via CNNMoney]
AT&T’s deal with Napster Mobile will allow customers to browse the service’s 4 million songs and download them to their phones for $1.99 a track, as well as purchase them on their computer.

Orange and Bebo Team Up [Mashable]
The UK mobile company Orange will offer Bebo Extra, a £3/month ($6) service that will allow users to access basic features on the social network via their handsets.

Blinging Up Your Cellular [WSJ]
$1,000 for Swarovski crystal faceplates on a Motorola Razr. Customized ringtones to play when calling friends’ phones. Tiny projectors that project the device’s screen up to 60-inches wide. With over 140 million mobile phones sold in the U.S. last year, people are going all-out to one-up their neighbors.

While Commercial Radio Struggles, Public Side Flourishes[WSJ]
NPR seems to have hit a sweet spot in radio–its audience has grown to 25.5 million, up from 13 million a decade ago–while commercial stations struggle. Chief Ken Stern discusses the public radio station’s growth, especially via online outlets such as podcasts and streams.
