MySpace Developer Platform Launching on February 5th [Mashable]
The top social network says it will assist developers in monetizing their applications, while at the same time keeping privacy a “top priority”. MySpace says its app program will support Google’s OpenSocial from day one and will differ greatly from Facebook’s Beacon.

NBC Announces Mobile Web Sites For 2008

We’ve told you what the networks are doing on mobile, nows here’s some more… NBC announced plans to launch 40 new mobile sites this year for shows like “Saturday Night Live” and “American Gladiators”. NBC, which attracted 1.6 million pages views on its WAP sites last quarter, also plans to roll out a send-to-mobile widget on all show sites by next month.

Yahoo Soft-Launches Lifecasting Service [ValleyWag]
Currently only available to its employees, Yahoo Live will allow users to create their own “social broadcasting experience”—something similar to offerings from UStream.tv and Justin.tv.

Hoping to tap into the growing buzz of online social networks, the Journal is adding a feature to its Web site called “SeenThis?” that will allow readers to see which Journal stories are popular among that user’s Facebook friends.

“All Eyes” on Current.tv [PSFK]
