The need for instant gratification is apparent in many areas of a Millenial’s life. But when it comes to food, the need for it–NOW–can transcend age boundaries. It’s simple biology. So is the desire to cut people in line. Thanks to GoMobo’s mobile ordering service, you can do both–at participating restaurants.
That’s the clincher isn’t it? Anytime there is a franchise-wide deal, each store must opt in. This can be difficult and tedious when it comes to national chains and a significant challenge for mobile ordering services. That’s why we’re excited about what NYC-based GoMobo has managed to do with SUBWAY. Subway Now, powered by GoMobo, enables consumers to text in their order to any location in Manhattan.

American Express is the credit card sponsor, giving Subway Now users a free $5 Footlong sub to order with American Express cards. The service launched yesterday with big NYC media buy including NYC subway advertising, American Express direct mail/email campaign, and online ads.
Smart move by SUBWAY franchise owners. By joining together and making this a concerted effort, each store helps ensure its own success. GoMobo has a similar deal with WaWa in and around Philadelphia. Regional and national deals like these–and the advertising that goes with them–will be the key to scaling such services. It’s also good to see AMEX on board. Visa has been making big strides in mobile purchasing, so it’s about time they made a move.
